| The Liptsky Wedding @ St. Lawrence Cathedral & Ashton Gardens |
A little rain did not dampen this beautiful couples amazing wedding day. Gray morning suits paired with aubergine bridesmaid dresses made for a very smart color combination for this autumn wedding. The flowers focused on a variety of roses in the lavender tones which included, the gorgeous Birbird, Ocean Song and Amnesia roses. We also added in a few blush and ivory roses in like Vendela and Quicksand and pop of yellow with few Stardust roses. Another feature flower seen throughout the bridal party flowers but particularly in the mother’s modern nosegays and the grandmother corsages is silver brunia berries, white freesia and seeded eucalyptus. The sweet flower girls carried handheld kissing balls, also known as pomanders, since the church did not allow petals to be dropped, These were made with white mini carnations and lavender sweetheart roses to keep them light in weight for the littles. At the reception site we use a combination of high, low table centerpieces to accommodate the tall ceiling of the venue. The tall arrangements we elevated on 3 foot tall glass cylinder to not obstruct too much to the table view. The head table was lined with bubble bowls and small nosegays, along with vases for the bridal party bouquets to rest. There was a large buffet sized urn at the champagne bar in the lobby. The cake was also adorned in the same matching flowers with a full floral topper and several mini corsages centered on each of the four sides of the squares, backed with an ivory satin ribbon.
