WEDDINGS

Do you ever dream of just having a mega fairytale wedding in the privacy of your own backyard? This magical day was so magnificent it was actually published in “The Knot” magazine as this amazing couple turned a basic backyard into a dream wedding oasis venue. Building a large wooden gazebo that would forever house the memories of this day, to replicate a chuppah for this Jewish based ceremony, made a stately forever arbor for this garden sanctuary. The bride chose Nikko Blue hydrangeas, Yellow Bird Roses and White Shasta Daisies as her trio of flowers for her bridal bouquet. They were also the theme flowers which were carried throughout the entire bridal party, the ceremony sprays, fresh floral pool floats with candles lit after dark, and lemon adorned buffet & table centerpieces. I thought it would be funĀ  and cheeky to add in whole lemons into the bases of the glass vases just to add a bit more of theme color yellow into the tables. I kept the lemons whole since lemon and all citrus juice is rather toxic in general to flowers and would cause them to die rather quickly, just a note for those of your aspiring DIY florist out there. This added a perfect vibe while guest were sipping on the lemonade themed signature cocktails of “Downhome Lemonade” while waiting on pit Bar “B” Que to be served up. I covered the cake table completely with a spring green moss overlay and a few shasta daisy heads popping up for the “he loves me, he loves me not theme” recreated in edible gum paste on the colorful fondant cake. After a night of dancing under the stars friends and family showered the couple with thousands of rose petals in beautiful a confetti send off.
